BOOK of POWER - can you use subfaction abilities during the +3 bonus?

Are Sub Faction Abilities = Special abilites that are disabled with Book of Power?
When the Book of Power relic activates for the +3 stats, it states that special abilities are ignored.

Are the subfaction abilities like Broken Tusk, Nature's Fury, and Revenant treated as Special abilites and thus disabled after activating the relic's +3?

Basically, are subfaction abilities = special abilities since they are in the SA CARD?

No. Although the Subfaction Abilities are on the Special Ability card for reference, they are not Special Abilities.

The Special Abilities are those represented by the colored circles or squares on the combat dial. (The ability card breaks these down into Speed Special Abilities, the various types of Attack Special Abilites, Defense Special Abilties, and Damage Special Abilities.)

so to make it short BoP doesn't disable sub faction abilities right?????
