Faction Wars

Who will rule the land of Mage Knight!



- 500 pts pure faction army
- Best of 3, 5 and 7 games
- Standard 3 objective token game
- Standard MK rules will apply

No restrictions. No limitations. No mercy!

* max 2 games per week
* army list will be given to an available arbitrator


Addendum:

* win/loss per game during tournaments and on the side will be included in the ranking as long as it follows the pure faction army build.
* Order of the 9 figures are legal.
* Mounts must have the same faction as the rest of the army.


Faction Wars Ranking

1. Top rank will be based on the number of Wins versus Loss.
2. Tie breaker will be based on number of games played.
3. Draws will count as loss for each faction.

Qualifications:
- Play any faction.
- Play at least 3 series versus other factions.
- Faction chosen must reach 20 wins on the over all ranking table. This is combined with other players  scores so it's easy
- deadline for the elimination round is on Sept. 21, 2013
- Anyone who will meet the following qualifications will get to play the final round.
- The champ and the 2nd placer will both get personalized tokens!
- Final round schedule and mechanics will be posted soon!

FINAL ROUND MECHANICS!

- Top 2 Factions/Players will battle it out with 3 scenarios:

  1 Tree of Life
     - standard 500 pts army build
     - 3 Objective Tokens
     - At the beginning of each command phase, Any friendly figure in base contact with the middle objective token is healed of 1 damage.
     _ The winner for this event may use "Elemental Totemstaff" on the 3rd round. Faction requirement for the Relic is waived but must follow all other requirements to wield the Relic.
 
  2 Windstorm
     - 300 pts army
     - 3 Objective Tokens
     - no cards such as relics, spellbooks, items, adventuring company and domains.
     - At the beginning of each command phase, Any friendly figure with zero or one action token,in base contact with the middle objective token can be given a special action. All figures at soaring level are now at ground level. Remove the flight stands of the affected figures from the battlefield, and place the figures on the battlefield where their flight stands were. If the Center dot of an affected figure would have been within a terrain feature, then that figure must occupy that terrain feature at ground level. If it cannot, remove it from the battlefield. This ability can be used once only per turn.
     - The winner for this event may use "Disruptor" on the 3rd round. Faction requirement for the Relic is waived but must follow all other requirements to wield the Relic.

  3 Nature's Fury
     - 2,000 Pts army
     - Standard conquest rules except for the ff.:
         * battlefield is at 48" x 48" only
         * No limit on Relics/Items
         * Time: 2 hours
         * At the beginning of each command phase, The player who's turn it is must roll 2 D6, on a result of 2-3, all figures at ground level and is not in base contact with an objective token is dealt one pushing damage.

* If there are 3 or more qualified Faction/Player, one round robin event we will held to determine the top two Faction/Player for the final round.

Shyft and Magespawn have always been together bro.
Only the Shyft have the unique ability to unite the magespawn to become shyft once deployed.

Need to ask Nye if this is an extension of the Faction composition of the Faction Titles

actually for the faction wars id sa yes but for the titles man id say it depends s size ng build pero originally it was a no except with shyft right at pag 500 dapat d b minimal

I think they are 2 totally different things...

Anyway, I like this idea for the Faction Wars with rankings for the factions instead of the players. 

What I meant was the army building rules should be likely the same.

Point of Faction Wars is to go AGAINST OTHER FACTIONS bro. So none of it should actually be for an MK Title Match.

I would have to agree with this. the events are totally different from one another.

Title match is for the players who wants to showcase their army builds versus the same faction choice.

Faction war is for players who wants to defend their factions against other factions.

anyone can take sides, defend or conquer and prove who is the best faction in the land of MageKnight!

I'd say both are interesting and fun to play with.. to arms!

I would say to follow the exact format to stretch out the limit of each faction/player. How well the faction/player can defend from or conquer other factions. We can trim it down to 3 or 5 games though if everyone votes for it.. except the ones that started already.

We can still play 1 on 1 pure faction games for tournaments.

It would be interesting to add those 1 on 1s to the ranking as long as it follows the guidelines for a pure faction build, agreed! just let me know so I can update the ranking on a weekly basis at least.

Best of 3 games is also feasible to speed up the matches. Guess that's up to the combatants if they want to cut it short or prolong the battle.

Orcs vs Elemental Freehold



Khan Rava, Harrowblade and Podo managed to withstand an all out teleporting range attack from the nature lovers led by Councilor Laurell. The Orcs retalliated with fury and crushed the Elementals for the win!

Atlantis vs Dark Crusaders



Magus Anendu, Molog and Delphana Masters was overwhelmed with a Centaur Swarm mid part of the game. Death throes and Deathseeker combo took the Atlanteans one by one and secured the objective tokens.

We will take your delphana ladies and offer them to Kossak!

Apocalypse vs Dark Crusaders



Same concept. Same strategy. Different Faction. The Apocalypse attacked and with full force with Kem sweeping 2 Skull Golems and the hunchbacks capturing 3 more. DC bounced back capturing the captors freeing their captives and attacking the caster behind. Kem, last man standing, was not able to endure the revenant/attack sequence from the undead army.
